Rent a Private Dog Park in Calgary, By the Hour

You can now book our parks by the hour.

We've been running the dog bus since 2020, taking dogs out to a private park every day. The most common thing people ask us is whether they can come use the park themselves. Now you can.

Fenced, private, and yours for the session. No strangers, no unpredictable dogs, no dodging anyone at the gate. Just you and your own crew.

What you can book right now

Big Park, 6 acres

Our biggest space by a mile. If you've got a dog that needs to genuinely run flat out, or you're bringing a few dogs together, book this one.

Training Area, 0.5 acres

Set up with hay bales, a sand pit, tires, logs and a ball pit. If you're working on recall, building confidence, or you've just got a dog that needs to use their brain instead of only their legs, this is the one. Our trainer uses this space too.

Opening soon

  • Pool Area — still under construction. We'll open it up once it's finished.

How it works

  • Every session is 55 minutes

  • Each park has its own entrance and its own parking, so you're not sharing a gate with anyone

  • Open Monday to Friday, 5:00pm to 9:00pm

  • Open Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am to 9:00pm

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your session

  • One waiver to sign the first time. It lasts 12 months

Where the parks are

We're on the south end of the Barrett Off-Leash Park property, about 2 km east of Calgary on Highway 22X. Each of our parks has a sign at the gate so you'll know exactly which one you booked.

There's a bathroom by the parking area near the pool entrance.

Entrance coordinates: 50.9038147, -113.8353635

One thing to know about

Our parks share fence lines. If somebody has the park next door booked at the same time as you, your dogs may see or meet dogs through the fence.

A few rules

  • Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations

  • You're responsible for your own dogs the entire session. There's no staff supervision on park rentals

  • Clean up after your dog

  • Be off the field by the end of your 55 minutes so the next booking can start clean

  • Bring your own water on hot days

Voting is open, and it takes about thirty seconds.

Six years ago this was one school bus and a very optimistic plan. It's turned into three buses, a training program and now the parks, and that's down to the dog parents who kept putting their pups on board. If you've got a minute, a vote would mean a lot to us.

And if you've got another minute

Google reviews are the single biggest thing that helps new dog parents find us. If your pup has had a good run with us, a quick review goes further than any ad we could run.

Takes about 60 seconds. And if you spot one of our review cards on the bus, grab one. The little charm on it stretches to fit right on their collar, so everyone knows your pup is part of the Ruff and Puff crew.
